Micah j Williamson, GISP

Micah discovered his inner geographer when he was 10 years old on a car ride home when he was given a map and assigned the navigating responsibilities. 15 years, lots of converse shoes, And a few kids later, He graduated with a Geography degree from Illinois State University.

Since an internship in 2001, Micah has worked in local government at various levels. Beginning in cartography and graphic design, it was an easy transition to the web with coding HTML and JavaScript creating the first online GIS application for Peoria. Micah took the Greater Peoria Sanitary District from paper mapbooks to a fully functional enterprise GIS system. Then at Peoria County he developed a complete integrated geospatial solution for county processes. Micah joined the Cloudpoint team full time in October 2012.  He also enjoys teaching and has been an Adjunct Instructor at Illinois Central College in their Geospatial Technologies program from 2007 to 2011.
