Jonathan j Hodel, PE, GISP

Jonathan is the founder of Cloudpoint Geographics and is a licensed professional engineer and certified GIS professional with over fifteen years of experience in transportation systems and structures planning, design, construction, and project management. He has a well diversified background of professional experience in the public and private sectors of civil engineering including roadway networks, storm water & drainage systems, utilities, right-of-way inventories, and pavement management systems. He has been utilizing GIS applications for public infrastructure, civil engineering, and asset management solutions since 2004 and has recently acquired his UAV Pilots License.  

Since graduating from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Jonathan has worked for two civil engineering firms prior to serving in the public sector as the County Engineer for Stark and Woodford Counties.  In 2011 he left Woodford County to pursue his life-long dream in Cloudpoint Geographics.  When he's not hard at work you can find him playing the role of husband and father, spending time on the golf course, or fishing.

Micah j Williamson, GISP

Micah discovered his inner geographer when he was 10 years old on a car ride home when he was given a map and assigned the navigating responsibilities. 15 years, lots of converse shoes, And a few kids later, He graduated with a Geography degree from Illinois State University.

Since an internship in 2001, Micah has worked in local government at various levels. Beginning in cartography and graphic design, it was an easy transition to the web with coding HTML and JavaScript creating the first online GIS application for Peoria. Micah took the Greater Peoria Sanitary District from paper mapbooks to a fully functional enterprise GIS system. Then at Peoria County he developed a complete integrated geospatial solution for county processes. Micah joined the Cloudpoint team full time in October 2012.  He also enjoys teaching and has been an Adjunct Instructor at Illinois Central College in their Geospatial Technologies program from 2007 to 2011. He also has taught the Geography courses for Eureka College from 2012 - Current. It's a 'vocation' for Micah, not just a job.

Matthew c Junker


Matt and his talents further expand the services aspect of the Cloudpoint team. His previous professional exposure has given him a rare set of tools that allow diversity in our workforce. However, each previous employment opportunity has seemingly prepared Mr. Junker (pronounced: Yunker) to be a cohesive part of our team. Adapt with digitizing deeded COGO, sewer lines or planning documents, the skillset is a perfect and easy complement to our client base. His understanding of local government further embeds Cloudpoint into our vision of providing tools and services to enable our clients to make data driven decisions using spatial data.

Professionally, Matt has worked for public and private entities. His work includes  cadastral data maintenance, creation and maintenance of GIS data for various county departments, development and maintenance of mapping applications, technical support for highway department sign inventory, and review of orthophotography proposals from vendors. He also oversaw creation and revision of maps for atlas, production wall maps and deskmap projects.

Joe n Christian

Joe comes to us from the Peoria Chiefs, by way of the City of Bloomington via Colorado. He handles our Business Development and is also a GIS Technician. Joe is quite experienced with ArcGIS, attribute management, engineering site plans, GPS data collection and conversion, plat maps, utilities, and Google Earth just to mention a few. Joe has a BA from Western Illinois University and a BS in Geography from Illinois State University (that makes three!). Immediately prior to coming to Cloudpoint He and his wife spent some time in Colorado where Joe worked at a GIS consulting firm specializing in oil and gas operations. Previous to that he was on staff with the City of Bloomington in their Engineering Division of the Public Works Department "poppin' lids and droppin' tape". 

His roots, however, are deep in Central Illinois. Family ties to the area date back before Illinois became a state. With Joe's geospatial skill set and his dedicated work ethic, we are confident that he will be a fantastic part of the team.  In addition to the traits that he possesses, Joe is currently planning on continuing his GIS education with post graduate work in the future, as well as becoming a certified GIS Professional.  When Joe is not collecting data in the field or engaging with professionals at conferences, you can expect him to be chasing whitetails across the state or playing bass and singing in his band Typecaster.

Jodi Hoffman


Jodi keeps us in line. Her professional experience allows Jon to rest easy and know that everything will be taken care of. Cloudpoint is extremely fortunate to find her level of knowledge and reliability within a small town like Roanoke. Even though the position is part-time the impact of her work extends far beyond those days that she is here.  Jodi's past experience in the banking industry gives her a leg up on all of the bookkeeping and administrative tasks at hand. 





Tyler Severson


Tyler is an aspiring geospatial student and valued member of the Cloudpoint team. He has assisted on culvert inventories, sign inventories, overhauling utility networks, editing parcels, and much more. He is currently enrolled at Illinois Central College where he is studying Geography, and plans to finish his 4 year degree at an undecided university. In his free time Tyler enjoys bowling, and playing League of Legends with his friends.
