Bigger Space, Bigger Dreams: Cloudpoint's New Office

We are excited to announce that Cloudpoint Geospatial has officially moved to a new office in Metamora, Illinois! After years of growth and success in our previous location in Roanoke, Illinois, this move marks a significant milestone for our team. Why did we move locations? The new office provides us with much more space and additional private offices, enabling us to continue expanding and meeting the needs of our growing team.
Moving locations always seems to resurrect some thoughts about the time spent in the old space and the past moves we’ve made. Bouncing down the highway in the U-haul as I drove Route 116 from Roanoke to Metmamora, I couldn’t help but reflect on the journey we’ve been over the past 13 years. Some of the memories in the previous office include:
Purchasing an enormous booth setup we called the ‘Tornado’ for our first big national conference at PWX in 2022.
Hearing noises of occasional construction work or footsteps on the mezzanine.
Packing into the conference room to enjoy quarterly lunches from Caleris or Braker’s market.
The whiteboards that would suddenly appear with random drawings or poetic writings from Cloudpoint kids visiting the office.
As we enjoy the new office space we wanted to make sure we give some appropriate credit where it is due. We certainly could not have completed the renovation work in a timely manner if it wasn’t for the hard work of these folks. A special thanks to Chuck from CJ’s Painting, CSM Properties & Maintenance, Hartter Interiors, RP Lumber, Martin Sign Services, Martin Tech, Cloudpoint staff moving crew, Dex & Lexi for removing carpet, and the hardest working retirees in Central Illinois, John Hodel and Mike Zimmerman.
