Hooked on Geospatial. Welcoming Dillon to Cloudpoint!

We're excited to welcome Dillon to the team as our newest GIS Technician. Dillon hails from West Central Illinois, near Macomb. He recently graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Systems Science and Sustainability, alongside minors in Geography, Biology, and Water Sustainability.

While at ISU, Dillon applied GIS in academic research and an undergraduate research internship. His impressive undergraduate GIS research was on weed detection using AI deep learning in ArcGIS Pro. He presented this research at Illinois State University's GIS Day in 2025, earning 1st place in the poster and oral presentation categories, as well as receiving the 2025 Outstanding Student Award.

When he's not diving into GIS, Dillon is usually outdoors. He is an avid fisherman, hiker, and camper. He competed in bass fishing tournaments through high school and college, even traveling to Tennessee and Virginia for the collegiate Bassmaster Classics series. He also enjoys playing sports and being a good steward of nature.

Dillon's passion for GIS and conservation makes him a great catch for our team. Please join us in welcoming him to the Cloudpoint team!
